Jeff Raines
Jeff Raines is a journalism intern with Campus Progress. He is a sophomore at American University in Washington, D.C., where he’s studying Political Science with a concentration in Comparative Politics and a minor in History. Jeff became interested in writing through the Roosevelt Institute’s Campus Network, where he is now Vice President of AU’s chapter and a member of the student staff. From writing blog posts on their website to writing pieces for a website called PolicyMic, his interests have always been around education, social equality, election reform, and anti-corruption practices. In the past, Jeff has been a part of Roosevelt’s Summer Academy fellowship program and interned at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of the Deputy Secretary.
